About the Madison Knitters' Guild

The Guild was founded by Dorothy Camper and Joan Dunn in 1981 to promote interest, appreciation, and skill in knitting. It was a small, but steadily growing group until the late 1980s when membership grew to almost 100. Today we have a membership of over 550, and a number of the original members are still with us! Members include all skill levels, from beginner to expert.

Monthly meetings include nationally recognized designers, authors, and teachers speaking about knitting related topics. We have local vendors at each meeting, and members who have knitted items they’d like to share can do so during our show and tell.

A Knit Aid Station opens at 5:00 pm before each meeting for anyone who needs help with knitting projects.
