Knitting Camp came into being when Elizabeth Zimmermann began teaching a weekend knitting course at an extension of the University of Wisconsin. Elizabeth passed the torch to her daughter, designer and internationally renowned knitting teacher Meg Swansen, who offers four sessions Thursday through Monday during four weekends in July.
A mixture of intermediate and expert knitters; Retreat 2.75 will include Show-and-Tell, mini-workshops by camp teachers and volunteer participants, group discussions, and a contest (Contest 2017: At the Museum) to highlight the session. This retreat is based almost entirely on discussion and Q&A.
At Knitting Camp, you can completely immerse yourself in knitting. Sharing and learning from other campers helps forge lasting friendships bonded by cherished memories. Register early to ensure a seat at this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
