    Ferrall Artist-in-Residence: Lisa Anne Auerbach

    Monday, March 17–April 30
    Wright Museum of Art

This year’s Ferrall Artist is Lisa Anne Auerbach, an interdisciplinary artist whose work, including knitting, photography, and publications, has been exhibited internationally since 1996. She will give a lecture on Wednesday, April 2, but before then an exhibit of her work will open at the Wright Museum of Art on Monday, March 17.
Established in 1998 in honor of Beloit College’s ninth president, the Victor E. Ferrall, Jr. Endowed Artists-in-Residence Program brings distinguished visual or performing artists to campus to teach, direct workshops, and perform or exhibit his or her works.

    • Marshfield, WI
Join Meg Swansen at Knitting Camp in Marshfield, WI where you can fill your toolbox with valuable skills, and  have the opportunity to see iconic original knits by Elizabeth Zimmermann and Meg Swansen.

Meg covers updated details of Elizabeth Zimmermann's Percentage System (EPS) for circular, seamless garment construction plus color-patterns, steeks, and assorted techniques and tricks. There will be small project handouts from which to knit during the session, plus optional Show-and-Tell.  Attendees must have at least a basic knowledge of knitting (cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, cast-off) and preferably will have completed some garments. Bring your technique questions; camp is part-teaching/part-Q&A that stimulates conversation. We are prepared to converse about any or all techniques the group wishes to discuss.

At Knitting Camp, you can completely immerse yourself in knitting.  Sharing and learning from other campers helps forge lasting friendships bonded by cherished memories. Register early to ensure a seat at this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
