New This Year

Friday Night Cocktail Party

Join us with local knitwear designer and teacher Chris Byslma for a cocktail party with a keynote address by Chris. Included in the event is a live auction of some very special knitted items donated by Chris and other guild members.

Back this year

Silent Auction

After the success of last year's silent auction, we are pleased to continue the auction for another year. The committee is investigating several options for donation of the proceeds. We can guarantee the funds will be used for a worthy local cause.

Look for the Cast On Party Box Luncheon

This extremely popular event continues to excite our membership. We welcome Theresa Schabes back as our designer this year. We've had mittens and a hat from her in the past two years, we wonder what she has up her sleeve for us this time? All we are sure about is it will be colorful!

Please join us as a lady (or gentleman) who lunches . . . and knits!  The Cast-On Party is an invitation to enjoy both a delicious boxed lunch in a relaxing and fun atmosphere and a knitting kit designed specially for this party.  Guild member and designer Theresa Schabes has again designed a surprise kit that encourages you to trade with your fellow guests.  She is not spilling any secrets, but if we've learned from past kits, it will be colorful and introduce a new technique or two.

In the spirit of reducing waste, this year's kit will not include a needle.  You will need to provide a 16" circular needle (or whatever equivalent you prefer).  The needle size will be sent to you in an e-mail reminder in early March.

    Lunch (choose one):

    1. Spicy Southwestern Salad: Crisp iceberg lettuce with roasted sweet corn and black bean relish, baby tomatoes, carrots and red chili ranch dressing. (V/GF)

    2. Wisconsin Harvest Chicken Salad: Roasted chicken breast with fresh celery, onion, apples, Craisins and mayonnaise with crisp leaf lettuce on freshly baked wild rice and cranberry bread.

    3. Southwestern Roast Beef Wrap: Thinly shaved, choice roast beef, with sauteed peppers and onions, pepper jack cheese, and crisp leaf lettuce on a fresh flour tortilla.

All Boxed Sandwiches include an individual bag of gourmet potato chips, an orchard apple, house baked chocolate chip cookie, soft drink or bottled water and disposable serviceware.
