Class Title: 5 Knit Buttonholes You Need to Know Now

Instructor: Edie Eckman

Overall Skill Category: Beginner to Intermediate. Basic skills needed include knowing how to: knit, purl, increase, decrease, cast-on and bind off stitches.

Class Description: Buttonholes can be tricky things. Getting them just right—tidy and tight—can be a challenge. One type of buttonhole doesn’t work for all situations. What do you do with giant buttons? Tiny buttons? Yarn that won’t hold its shape? These five buttonholes will see you through almost every situation and give you what you need to achieve symbiosis among the button, the band, and the design of the thing that you want to button up.

Materials fee: None

Supplies to Bring to Class: Light-colored sport, dk or worsted-weight yarn, appropriate needles; optional: buttons

Pre-Class Assignment: Using the yarn you'll use in class, knit one or two stockinette stitch swatches about 6" square, blocked.

Class Size: Maximum of 20

Cancellations/Refunds: No changes in registration can be honored within 48 hours prior to the scheduled class.
