To co-ordinate with our October and November speakers, JC Briar and Romi Hill, the theme of this year’s Knit-ALong (KAL) is Lace! We’ll be offering two KALs in parallel: one for a “true” lace project and a second for a “not-quite-lace” project.
In October, we'll introduce the “True” Lace KAL. Led by Ruth Cadoret, this KAL will focus on any pattern by Romi Hill or JC Briar. You can do one project or many.
Romi Hill has so many gorgeous patterns to choose from! Check out her Ravelry page at https://www.ravelry.com/designers/rosemary-romi-hill. Yarns used for Romi’s patterns range from laceweight to Aran-weight, and there is a pattern for all skill levels and interests. Even if you are new to lace knitting, there is a Romi Hill pattern right for you and the KAL is a great way to learn lace knitting skills.
JC Briar also offers a variety of patterns, many of which utilize lace designs. In addition, JC has created a new way of charting, called stitch maps (Stitch-Maps.com), which is especially wonderful for knitting lace patterns. So, join the KAL and try one of JC’s patterns, either in “conventional” or stitch-map format. Check out JC’s page on Ravelry at https://www.ravelry.com/designers/jc-briar for a look at her designs.
See KAL (Knit-A-Long) for a full description of this KAL.
