Beyond the Basics
The purpose of this class is to expand your knitting skill set by introducing i-cord, an i-cord bind off and the kitchener stitch. I-cord can be used as a cable to hold mittens together or be the ties on a hat. The application of i-cord as a bind off adds a decorative edge to the bottom of a sweater, to sleeves and other items.
The kitchener stitch is frequently used to close the toe of a sock, but it can also be used to join any two edges where you have live stitches.
Bring your questions, and as time permits we will explore other small techniques that can expand your knitting power.
