Using your measurements and worksheets, we’ll look at how to master the fit of sweater patterns to YOUR body, and what those modifications look like in a simplified form.

Learn:

• How to choose a size to start with.
• How to compare your measurements to sweater schematics to learn how a “hybrid size” can be a solution when your measurements span more than one size.
• What to do when your weight is carried more in front or back
• What to do when your gauge and the pattern gauge don’t agree.

Homework:

Come to class with a set of measurements that include:

• Upper torso measurement
• Full bust measurement
• Armhole depth
• Natural waist circumference
• Hip circumference at mid-hip
• Bicep circumference
• Wrist circumference

COVID Update: The safety and security of our members, speakers, and staff are our most important priorities. This is our COVID policy as of 7/12/22; it will be updated based on any masking or vaccine requirement changes from city, state, or federal authorities. This policy is based on the CDC guidelines for vaccination status: the CDC recommends COVID-19 primary series vaccines for everyone ages 6 months and older, and COVID-19 boosters for everyone ages 5 years and older, if eligible. You will be required to show proof of vaccination at time of check in and masks will be required throughout the class unless presenting.
