Workshop: Color with Kirk Dunn

Topic:  

Enjoy a three-hour workshop with knitter/author/actor Kirk Dunn, also known as The Knitting Pilgrim and creator of the Stitched Glass tapestries. Kirk will talk about the use of multiple colors in his knitting to create a tremendous range of depth, colour and texture, and share the simple techniques he uses to achieve advanced results.

Participants will practice these techniques on a pincushion project and will leave the workshop with a functional and multi-hued miniature pillow in which to store their collection of darning needles and stitch holders.

Supplies: 

These patterns are considered to be ’stashbusters,’ so bring yarn from your own stash or choose colors from Kirk’s stash (at no extra charge). If you bring your own yarns, bring at least 3 balls of yarn in varying hues of each colour for a minimum of 9 balls (though the more you bring, the better). Variegated yarns are not suitable.
