Workshop: Looking Good Coming and Going with Patty Lyons

Topic:
Dig into the practice swatches from Patty’s Knitting Bag of Tricks: The Official Workbook! How you start and end a project is an important decision. We will go over great cast ons and bind offs for lace, for rib, and more. We will also look at pairing cast ons and bind offs that look great together. We will also fix some problems and bust some myths, including the perfect jogless start and end to working in the round! Let’s start and end with a bang!
Skill Level:
Must know the long tail cast on (in slingshot position), how to knit, purl, and have a familiarity with the anatomy of your stitches.

Supplies:
Yarn: Worsted or chunky NON splitty yarn in LIGHT COLOR, small amount of contrasting color yarn. Needle appropriate for yarn, and one smaller double pointed needles.
OPTIONAL: Needles appropriate to yarn to work a small circumference (36 - 40” circular for magic loop, 2 circs or dpns), scissors or yarn cutter, tapestry needle, stitch marke
Homework: None
OPTIONAL: cast on 30 stitches on the small circular needle choice (see above)
