Olga Buraya-Kefelian

Olga was taught to knit at the age of four by her professional seamstress mother and acquired tailoring skills at an early age while working alongside her. Although she began knitting as a young child, knitting didn’t become her career until 2003 while traveling the world with her spouse who was in the military. She needed to not only adapt to relocating every two years but needed an occupation and career that was fulfilling and could go wherever military life took them. Knitting and designing fit the bill, and she began the “olgajazzy” brand of independent knitwear patterns in 2006, creating imaginative yet versatile knitwear.

Conceived as a line for trendy and ultimately wearable knitwear, her patterns and knitting are innovative, versatile, and born out of her natural curiosity for geometry, architecture, and textile explorations, yet are grounded in the practicality of finished pieces. Olga’s patterns focus on enriching the skill set of any knitter as do her classes, which she will be teaching for MKG October 9-10.

Registration for Olga's classes will open September 1st.

Olga is offering coupon code FALL20 for the month of September to get 20% off any single pattern. This code is valid on Ravelry and on her website olgajazzy.com. This code is available for everyone not just class registrants (however class registrants should note that the code is good only to the end of September).
